ULTIMATE AVO TOAST

1 slice of seedy bread

1-2 tbs goat cheese

1/2 avocado

1 small tomato 

pinch of chopped basil

large pinch of micro-greens or sprouts 

Toast bread. Spread goat cheese. Thinly slice tomatoes. Sprinkle basil. Loosely chop & lay out avocado. Sprinkle micro-greens/sprouts. Drizzle good olive oil. Sprinkle salt. Crack pepper. Eat. Die happy.

If I’m having this for breakfast, I’ll fry an egg on the top.

Green Glow Juice.

Ever since I bought my own juicer, I have been converted. Maybe you’ve strayed away from juice from past experiences, or maybe you are turned off from the price. Or maaaaybe you love juice, but have only been purchasing them pre-bottled. Trust me, once you make your own juice it is a religious experience. Now, I know a high-quality juicer is expensive, but remember that the pre-bottled $12 ones add up! Especially if you’re getting them regularly.

Before I get on to the recipe, I want t0 touch on some of the benefits of juicing. Green juice is all the rage, and for good reason! When you drink juice, highly concentrated vitamins, minerals, and enzymes rapidly enter your bloodstream to be absorbed. Juicing will facilitate weight loss, increased energy, strengthened immunity, strong bones, and glowing skin. So go, drink up!

As for when to drink juice, the is no “wrong time”, as juicing is gold for your insides. But, to maximize the benefits, drink on an empty stomach, or at least one hour before a meal. As I said, there are no “rules”, only suggestions. :-)

GREEN GLOW JUICE

1 apple (i like Fuji and Granny Smith)

2 celery stalks

a thumb of ginger

1 cucumber

5 stalks kale (if you’re new to juice, do 3 stalks and then taste) 

juice of 1/2 lemon

optional: i like to add mint and/or wheatgrass 

Juice the following ingredients, stir, and don’t forget to serve with ice- this makes it really yummy!

what you need:

1/2 avocado

2 slices of nutty/whole grain bread (i love dave killers & ezekial)

2 organic eggs

olive oil

pinch of salt & pepper

(optional) cayenne pepper

For this foodgasmic recipe; toast up your bread, cook the 2 eggs (fried or sunny-side), mash avo, put it all together, add your seasonings and wah-bang!

5 Changes To Have A Smoother Morning

1. Prep your water.

Water is always the first thing to think about in the morning. It wakes your body up and is incredibly beneficial for the body. If you don’t easily remember to drink water when you wake, fill a large liter with some H2O and ice, put it by your bedside, and it will be all ready for the morning. 

2. Set your intentions 

If you set the tone for the day, by writing down how you want to feel and what energy you want to radiate throughout the day, it can completely change your day. 

3. Fuel your body

Having a healthy breakfast will give your body and brain energy to handle whatever obstacles you face throughout the day. If you’re in a time crunch, whip up a healthy green smoothie, almond butter toast with banana, or some overnight oats.

4. Move your body

If you have the time, it would be so great to go on a run or an hour yoga session, but a lot of us don’t have that time. I recommend wake up ten minutes earlier and spend that time going on a five minute walk outside and five minutes doing some stretch yoga. You will feel so much better going into your day, I promise.

5. Know what you’re going to wear 

Not knowing what to wear stresses me out so much. Taking a couple minutes the night before to pick out what you’re going to wear will help you so much!!

Acai Bowl Recipe

heeeey guys! I have been having a grand time in Northern California and i will make a post about it when I get back on Wednesday.

Anyways, you guys on Instagram and Youtube ALWAYS ask for how I make my Acai bowls. I wrote a recipe on it a while back so I thought I would update y’all!

Ingredients:

1 acai smoothie packet (i use Sambazon) 

1/2 cup blueberries

a couple splashes nut milk of choice

1 fresh or frozen ripe banana

Optional: 1 cup spinach 

 

Toppings:

any fresh berries/fruit of choice

sliced banana

almond shavings

granola of choice (i use KIND) 

 

Recipe:

Blend smoothie ingredients in a blender, add more nut milk to desired consistency if needed. Throw on your toppings and ENJOY this sexy meal :-)

Protein Waffles

These protein waffles are a staple to my everyday breakfast and super easy, yet mouth-watering flavors!

Yield: two waffleswaffles

Recipe: 

  1. Heat waffle iron to medium-low heat
  2. Mash one banana
  3. Add two whole eggs, one scoop (1/4 cup) Perfect Fit Protein, 1/4 cup whole wheat flour, one tbs ground flax seed, and a couple dashes of cinnamon
  4. Mix. If the batter is still a little too thick, add nut milk
  5. Spray waffle iron lightly with coconut oil spray
  6. Pour and let sit for about one to two minutes
  7. Add preferred berries and optional maple syrup/honey/agave

I love making this for breakfast. It is quick, easy, and delicious. acai

Recipe:

  • Blend 1 unweetend Samazon acai packet with 1/2 frozen or unfrozen banana and a dash of almond (or preferred nut) milk
  • Put a couple handfuls or desired amount of granola on the bottom of the bowl
  • Pour blended Acai mix on top of the granola
  • Top with favorite fruits, the other half of the banana, and almond shavings(optional). I like blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries
  • For added sweetness, drizzle honey or agave on top

Oatmeal

This is a flavor packed twist on regular oatmeal. Feel free to replace some of the ingredients with your favorites. oatmeal

Recipe: 

  1. Measure out 1/2 cup of Irish oats(or steel cut) and put in pot
  2. Add 1 cup of water to the pot with oats and cook on medium to medium-low heat for about 10-15 minutes or until the oats are cooked and absorb all the water
  3. When the oats are done, place them in a bowl and add cinnamon, maca powder, flax seeds, chia seeds, cocoa powder, almond butter, and Perfect Fit Protein to the oats
  4. Mix all those ingredients together with oats, it should be very dry at this point
  5. Stir in almond milk accordingly to the preferred consistency
  6. Add blueberries or bananas and honey or agave on top

Overnight Oats

I get asked all the time how to make “my overnight oats” or “the perfect overnight oats”. There are so many different recipes out there but I find that this one never fails, is easy, and is universally likable. Overnight oats are just oats that absorb the following ingredients overnight and are to be eaten cold in the morning. They’re great for someone who is on-the-go and needs something quick.

Recipe: (individual serving)

At night

  1. Cook 1/3-1/2 cup of plain, uncooked oats to double the amount (you put in) water. Cook until oats absorb the water, stirring occasionally
  2. Put the oats in a separate bowl and add almond milk(or preferred milk) by eye so the oats cool down and absorb the almond milk(around 1/4-1/2 cup)
  3. Add 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt, 1tbs almond/peanut butter, 1/2 tbs flax seeds(optional), and preferred amount of cinnamon
  4. Place in a mason jar and leave in refrigerator overnight

In the morning

  1. In the morning the oat mix is going to be very dry, keep adding almond milk and stirring until it is to your preferred consistency
  2. Add fresh berries(I like blueberries) and honey
