5 Changes To Have A Smoother Morning

good-morning-pictures-tumblr-2-272x273

1. Prep your water.

Water is always the first thing to think about in the morning. It wakes your body up and is incredibly beneficial for the body. If you don’t easily remember to drink water when you wake, fill a large liter with some H2O and ice, put it by your bedside, and it will be all ready for the morning.

2. Set your intentions

If you set the tone for the day, by writing down how you want to feel and what energy you want to radiate throughout the day, it can completely change your day.

3. Fuel your body

Having a healthy breakfast will give your body and brain energy to handle whatever obstacles you face throughout the day. If you’re in a time crunch, whip up a healthy green smoothie, almond butter toast with banana, or some overnight oats.

4. Move your body

If you have the time, it would be so great to go on a run or an hour yoga session, but a lot of us don’t have that time. I recommend wake up ten minutes earlier and spend that time going on a five minute walk outside and five minutes doing some stretch yoga. You will feel so much better going into your day, I promise.

5. Know what you’re going to wear

Not knowing what to wear stresses me out so much. Taking a couple minutes the night before to pick out what you’re going to wear will help you so much!!

Until text time,

Claire

WATER

Water is an extremely important part of our daily lives. We fill up a glass of water without even thinking about it, we are extremely blessed to be able to do that. It is ridiculous and unacceptable that people die everyday because they do not have water. From The Thirst Project:

Almost 1 Billion on our planet don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water and proper sanitization. That’s one in every eight of us. 4,400 children die every day from diseases caused by contaminated water. That’s huge. That’s approximately one child every 15 seconds. 80% of all global diseases are water-borne and result from drinking contaminated water. These diseases kill more than 2.2 million people every year.

You can do a lot more then not have the sink running while you brush your teeth and shortening your showers, you know it and I know it. The Thirst Project is a organization that I first came across when I attended VidCon and they also presented at my school. I only want to put organization that I fully trust and support, and I love The Thirst Project because you literally see where your money is going. Spa Water

Whenever I go to a spa or hotel, I love having fruit infused spa water, it makes drinking water so fun and colorful! So, I decided to try to make it on my own. Most fruit works for this, except I think these don’t taste the best: cantaloupe, coconut, blueberries, tomatoes, grapes and banana. But really, it’s just your personal preference.pinapple water

Examples of fruit to use~lemon, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, strawberry, and orange.

Sweeteners~vanilla bean, stevia drops, and agave.

Spice~thyme and mint.

Recipe:

  • Add desired amount of water and ice
  • Cut and chop your fruit into thin slices going diagonally
  • Add fruit and any sweeteners and/or spice to water
  • Let sit for a few minutes, pour, and enjoyfruit water
